In Memoriam (March 4, 1953 – December 10, 2016)
Herm was one of those rare people in racing who has literally “been there and done that”… several times. With National Championships in World Karting, Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and the United States Auto Club, his trophy case was packed with more hardware than Menards has in several of their stores. Herm raced all over the country and the world at legendary tracks such as Laguna Seca, Ontario Motor Speedway, Brainerd International Raceway, Watkins Glen, Road America, Milwaukee, Brands Hatch, Vladivostok Russia and the hallowed Brickyard in Indianapolis where he finished in the top ten in the Indy 500 twice.
Herm passed away December 10, 2016 of liver and renal failure. Everyone at the BIR Performance Driving School will always remember and miss our friend.
