Sam started racing go-karts in 2005 when she was 14 years old. Sam started out in the Yamaha Jr. Can Class, where she was Rookie of the Year her first year and won the championship the next year. After that Sam moved up the TaG class which she raced both regionally and nationally getting a 4th place at Tag Worlds in 2008. In 2011 Sam made the transition to cars by attending many Audi club events at different tracks around the country, driving and instructing, as well as attending a Skip Barber Racing School at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Through Skip Barber Sam got her first ride in a race car – a golf GTI which she raced again at Lime Rock Park with SCCA. The next year Sam got into Spec Miata which she has been racing for three years now with her most recent achievements being winning the Regional Championship as well as Driver of the Year. Sam loves racing and teaching both for the driving and the people she meets.
