Instructor at the BIR Performance Driving School
Active in motorsports since 1969 when a high school friend invited me to go to the TransAm race at Donnybrooke. Began by competing in TSD rallies and autocrosses, worked most races at Donnybrooke a.k.a. Brainerd International Raceway. Worked as track announcer for pro races beginning in the mid 1970s.
First wheel to wheel competition was the St. Paul Winter Carnival ice race on Lake Phalen in 1977 in a Saab 93F, which I now own. Finished 1st (after the other six cars in the class crashed or broke down).
Competed in ice races and stage rallies in a Datsun 510 until 1985. Also had a Mazda GLC that saw action in ice races.
Built a Saab 99 for SCCA Improved Touring B, that also saw action in an ice race, autocrosses and TSD rallies.
